Jeffrey C. McKay was first elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in 2007 and began his third term in January of 2016. He was appointed to NVTC in January, 2008 and is currently serving as chairman for 2017. Supervisor McKay chairs the Fairfax County Board’s Budget and Legislative Committees and co-chairs the Board’s Committee on Community Revitalization and Reinvestment. He is a former board member of United Community Ministries (UCM) and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Committee on Reapportionment. Mr. McKay is also appointed to the Fort Belvoir/Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Board of Advisors, the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC), the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) Regional Board of Directors, the Transit Capital Project Revenue Advisory Board (RAB), and the National Association of Counties (NACo) Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee. He also serves as an alternate to the Virginia Transit Association and VRE Operations Board. Supervisor McKay is a sworn Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Fairfax County. Supervisor McKay earned a B.A. in Public Administration from James Madison University and is a graduate of the Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.
